Delivery Time! My Cardboard Mistress Sends Me a Woman!

You know I'm doing well in terms of trading when I produce four trade posts in back-to-back-to-back-to-back days!  I'm not going to go back and look through my entire 4500+ post archives to see but we'll say if it isn't a record it's got to be close!

Today's trade package is courtesy of Adam over at My Cardboard Mistress.  About a month ago, Adam ran a little contest of sorts where he would send you your choice of one relic card for any one card that you sent him off of his various Allen & Ginter's want lists.  As luck would have it (for me), I had three cards that Adam craved which meant I got to pick three relics for myself.

Now, there weren't any new Reds for me to pick up so I did the next best thing - I went for Ginter "oddities".  Unfortunately, in recent years Topps has drastically cut back on the odd relics (things like rope and dominoes) in favor of the ubiquitous cloth swatches.  No matter, I grabbed the one non-baseball player that interested me - Jackie Joyneer-Kersee.

Since I had three cards to send Adam, I got to pick two other relics.  Both of these were chosen for no other reason than to use as future trade bait.

After all, it's not often I willingly choose to showcase both a Cardinal and Brave on my blog.  I'm fairly certain the Hudson already has a destination in mind but the Wainwright is available.

In true generous fashion, Adam also dropped an Allen & Ginter's card on me that I needed - a 2012 regular back mini of Drew Storen.

Thanks to Adam, my 2012 Want List for Allen & Ginter's is a bit shorter.  Here it is in all its glory for those who might have some of this set lying around!

2012 Topps Allen & Ginter's Wants:
N43:  N43- 11, 14
Guys in Hats:  GH- 4, 5, 6, 7, 9
Fashionable Ladies:  2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10
Reg. back minis:  2, 11, 29, 34, 39, 42, 45, 91, 96, 97, 108, 127, 131, 135, 156, 171, 181, 182, 189, 195, 197, 199, 203, 220, 221, 245, 262, 288, 289, 294, 295, 299 326, 336
Ad back minis:  206, 236
Black border minis:  13, 70, 74, 173, 325
Gold border minis:  12, 64, 70, 173, 206, 325

Adam also threw in a few assorted Reds cards.  My favorite two were probably this Joey Votto card from the 2013 Topps Update set (a set that I had avoided purchasing any cards from).

My other favorite was this Brandon Phillips Gypsy Queen mini from 2012.  I guess that's because I like almost any tobacco era sized mini (including actual tobacco era cards)!

Thanks for the trade Adam - and good luck finishing off your remaining Allen & Ginter's needs.  Speaking of needs, if anyone out there can help me out with some of my needs I'll do my best to be just as generous to you as Adam was to me!
