About a week ago, I showed off the full-sized set needs that I recently had shipped from Check Out My Cards (aka COMC). Today, I'm back to show off a variety of mini cards from that same COMC order.
In this particular order, I was able to grab some Allen & Ginter mini cards from four different years. We'll go through chronologically, starting with this Gold border parallel of Mat Latos.
Latos is one of those guys who I've soured on as a person based on his tenure with the Reds. That being said, in 2012 I decided I'd try and collect a bunch of the different mini parallels of Reds cards so here I am over a decade later buying Latos cards.
The bulk of my mini purchase was from the next year, 2013. I was able to nab a total of 7 needed Reds minis (2 regular back, 3 A&G back, and 2 black bordered).
The good news is that this batch of Reds is much more tolerable (other than Chapman, of course). I'm particularly happy with the black bordered Arroyo card.
Lest you only think I bought Reds minis, let's look at some mini inserts that I needed from 2015.
That's a trio of cards split across two difficult-to-find mini insert sets from 2015 Allen & Ginter. I'm now at the 75% completed mark combined between the two sets. For those that are math-phobic, that means I only need 5 out of the 20 "Healthy" cards.
2015 Topps Allen & Ginter Wants:
Mini Inserts:
A Healthy Body: Body- 2, 5
A Healthy Mind: Mind- 5, 8, 10
Finally, I was able to grab the last card I needed to finish off the 2022 Mini 2006 A&G Rookie Design set.
Yeah, no one is surprised to see Wander Franco as the last guy I needed, right? With this set in the binder, I've now finished 16 different sets in 2023!
