A Couple More Rather Rare Larkin Parallels Join My Collection

I have had a bit more downtime lately as the semester winds down (I'm giving my last final exam later today, in fact).  As such, I've had more time to peruse sites like eBay and find cards that I want to own.

For example, I'm often on eBay looking to add to my growing 2022 Topps Chrome Platinum Anniversary parallel collection.  While most of what I still need is outside my price range, every now and then I'm able to grab a new-to-me Barry Larkin parallel!

Yep, that's a Rose Gold Mini-Diamond Refractor (#/75).  It's my 15th different Barry Larkin card from the set (out of a possible 35 cards).  Remember, I'm only considering Larkin cards with a stated print run of at least 25 copies!  Here's the full list of all the Larkin cards in the set:

That 2022 Larkin wasn't the only eBay score I had this past week.  I also grabbed a Gold parallel from 2022 Stadium Club Chrome!

The Gold refractor parallels are numbered out of only 50 copies so I was able to land this one for under $3 you know I had to pounce even if the image isn't one of my favorites!  The worst part about this card was trying to figure out if it was from the regular Stadium Club set (which had a Chrome insert set) or the full-sized Stadium Club Chrome set.  Luckily, the little tiny numbers on the backside of the card are different - in this case the number ends with 6977 which means it is from the Stadium Club Chrome set (for comparison, if the card number ended with 3096 then it'd be from the regular Stadium Club set and it would be part of the Chrome insert series).   Super confusing, that's for sure - especially because the regular card number and photo stays the same in Barry's case!
