The Platinum Toile Cream Fuschia Atomic Refractor parallel has a terribly long name, but at least it taught me a new word (toile). According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, toile means "any of many plain or simple twill weave fabrics." The pronunciation of the word "toile" apparently rhymes with "wall," basically "twall."  

What does all of that have to do with baseball cards?  I have no idea.  No clue, whatsoever, why Topps decided to use "toile" in the name of the set, nor do I see how the design fits with the definition of a plain or simple weave fabric.  Totally bizarre, but kind of fitting for the 2022 Topps Chrome Platinum Anniversary set I suppose seeing as how the set was branded "2022" despite coming out in 2023.  

In the end, despite the goofy name I still like the above parallel. It's certainly unique as compared to any parallels that came before it - and that's no small feat for a Larkin card given that his baseball card career stretches all the way back to 1986!
