Last week was a good week - I finally kicked the flu that was bothering me and, perhaps more blogworthy, I received a boatload of yellow envelopes full of cards. One such envelope came from Duane over at the Democratic Roadkill blog.
Duane contacted me saying he had a few '09 Allen & Ginter mini cards for me which I was obviously interested in...turns out, he had more than just a few cards I needed! In return, I'm about to mail off a bunch of Allen & Ginter base cards, plus an insert or two (and as a quick aside, I still have some '09 Allen & Ginter cards available for trade - see my list here if you are interested).
Here's what I got:
2009 Allen & Ginter:
23 different regular minis

Hoaxes, Hoodwinks, and Bamboozles:
HHB2. Alabama Changes the Value of Pi
HHB10. D.B. Cooper
Thanks to Duane, I've finally completed the Hoodwinks, Hoaxes, and Bamboozles insert set. It's ironic since I'm a mathematician that the final card I needed from the set was the one card that dealt with mathematics! I guess the wait made acquiring that card even more worthwhile...it's certainly a good way to put the final touch on a surprisingly interesting set!
2008 UD Masterpieces:
96. Ernie Banks

2008 UD Goudey
Hit Parade of Champions:
HPC-27. Roger Staubach
HPC-30. Wayne Gretzky

Thanks again Duane! And, as always, if anyone else would like to work out a trade check out my want list and make an offer!

Wow, that is the first I have seen of the Pi card. I love it! I am hardly a mathematician, but pi is used quite often in metal working which is why I have a flaming pi tattoo. Seriously.
