From CSN's website.
A couple of weeks ago I announced a new blog sponsor - CSN Stores. Well, thanks to CSN Stores, I now have another product to review - this time, it is an 8-ounce casserole Le Creuset dish.
Actually, I ordered four items from the CSN family of stores, a shelf that my fiance wanted for the house, the dish to the left, a cookie dough sheet, and since I had about $2.75 left over, a red pen for my grading. All four items arrived extremely quickly (and in four separate large boxes, even the single pen)!
While the other items were nice to get, it was the dish to the left that is most worthy of a review - especially since I'm now getting more and more blog hits for people looking for recipes and cookware reviews!
Nachos Grande Review:
Le Creuset 8-Ounce Petite Round Casserole in Cherry (ordered online from here)
The first thing that I noticed when I opened up the box from the mail was just how small this casserole dish actually is.
Not pictured: The big box that housed this small box (along with plenty of air packs to keep things from breaking)
This was nestled tightly within the small cardboard box featured above...almost to the actual dish!
Sure, the title says it is only 8-ounces, and the description mentions that it is perfect for dips, but man, that picture threw me off a bit! Here is (perhaps) a better photo - with a regular baseball card for size comparison.
That's a regular 'ol 1990 Topps Barry Larkin card.
Although I was expecting something a bit larger in size, I can't blame anyone but me for not reading the description! That said, I actually really like this little dish - it truly is great for dip! One of my favorite things to do is play a card game called 500 - and what's a card game without some snacks to go with it? Since I'm a bit of a stickler for having non-sticky cards, my typical card night snack is a bunch of pretzels with Onion Soup Mix dip...and from now on, that Onion Soup Mix dip will probably be kept in this nice little container...made even more perfect by having a lid for the refrigerator, no more messing with stupid cling wrap!
Finally, while I'm definitely not a "brand" guy in most senses of the phrase, I do appreciate the raised "Le Creuset" markings on the lid - it's always fun to bust out fancy dishes to use to hold chip/pretzel dip!
Final review: (out of 5 with 1 worst, 5 best)
Shipping time: 5
Condition: 5
Appearance: 5
Overall: 4 out of 5.
Final thought: The dish is everything the website promised - though I'm knocking it down a point for having what I consider to be a somewhat misleading picture on the site. That said, it's still really nice!

That is a sweet dish.
