Whenever I think of Fleer, I think of two things: Yellow borders and lots of inserts. This card might not have the garish yellow borders of the 1991 Fleer set (here and here), but it still has a yellowish tint to it. The front of the card features a photo of Larkin in the field which wouldn't be unusual except the set is called Splendid Splinters, not Gold Glovers... The back of the card features Larkin's split stats for the 2002 season - a season that clearly wasn't one of his better seasons. Even so, it's a rather nice card - and a great addition to my collection!
