Group Break #5: 2000 Topps Tek - Packs 12 and 13

Edit:  Please see the quick note at the top of this post.  Also, I will now schedule these old posts even more frequently to get them all finished off by the end of today.  There is lots of reading available for you on a Sunday!

----
By now, I fully expect to be home (and unpacked).  However, since I'll likely have a hundred other more pressing things to do (like mow the lawn), I'm going to continue to pre-write these posts until I'm too tired to do any more.  As it is, I currently leave for Italy in 7 hours (but I'm a night person so I can't sleep).  Of course, when you actually read this I will have been home from Italy for about 27 hours!

2000 Topps Tek:
Packs 12 & 13:

1-5.  Mike Piazza - Mets
12-2.  Shawn Green - Dodgers
This card shows some damage on the bottom - in fact, all the cards out of this particular pack are damaged but the Green card and the Patterson card are the only two where it is really noticable.
20-1.  Sammy Sosa - Cubs

26-4.  Scott Rolen - Phillies
28-9.  Rick Ankiel -Cardinals
37-10.  Corey Patterson - Cubs
See the above note.  In other news, I'm glad Patterson is shown as a Cub and not as a Red - that way I get to get rid of Patterson rather than have him sit in my pile.  Yes, I'm still bitter about that man.
A11.  ArchiTek:  Alex Rodriguez - Mariners

Once again, the ArchiTek inserts are seeded 1:4 packs.  It's about time the Mariners started to pick up some insert cards, these particular boxes covered the M's prime years of Griffey, A-Rod, and the like.
DP7.  DramaTek Performers:  Alex Rodriguez - Mariners

Ah, here we go!  Two packs, two A-Rod inserts.  That's good news for the Mariners.  The DramaTek Performers, despite their incredibly corny name, are actually fairly rare.  According to the pack wrapper, they are seeded 1:10 packs.  Thus, if the odds hold true, we should expect one more for sure, and third one if we are a little bit lucky.

Comments

  1. I was starting to worry the Mariners would be shut out of the break.
