The Great Reorganization: Step 31: The Year 2009 Threw Up On Me

Over the past week or so, I've made some solid forward progress in terms of continuing my reorganization of my baseball card collection.  In fact, I recently went through my stack of 2009 cards...by far the largest stack of cards that was remaining for me to sort through.  How large you ask?  Here's a photo that shows what I had to work my way through.

So many sets released in 2009!!

After going through the various piles, I circled the ones that were of sets that I have decided to chase after.

As you can see, there was a lot of unwanted cards from the 2009...and man, it feels great to have gone through the pile and sorted everything out.

While I did get rid of a lot of stuff, the year 2009 is still one of the largest years in terms of sets that I've collected and/or are still in the process of trying to complete.  In fact, here's the full list of what I've kept from 2009 (with insert sets indented below the main set):

As the years move on, I know I'll eventually have to go back through my sets and choose some to get rid of in order to make room for newer stuff.  I'm sure that I'll revisit 2009 at that point in time (Upper Deck Spectrum, I'm looking at you)!  Still, it's nice to get more and more organized, even if this is the slowest process ever!

  1. I think 2009 Topps flagship flies under the radar a bit, but it's one of my favorite Topps designs. I also love the Turkey Red.
