Base cards total points = -10 points

Oh my, that was a painful bunch of base cards.  No Reds, no Pirates, only one photo that stood out as something special...and a bunch of Red Sox and Yankees.  Not good, not good at all.

Inserts:
193.  Shairon Martis - Gold Parallel (#1510/2010) (+1 point)
TMC-3. Million Card Giveaway (+1 point)
TR20. CC Sabathia - Turkey Red (+1 point /4 Yankee = 0.25 points)
PP27. Tom Seaver - Peak Performers (+1 point)
TTT15. Miguel Cabrera - Topps Town (+1 point)
LL17.  Cal Ripken and Derek Jeter - Legendary Lineage.  (Hmm, x2 for a player I like (Ripken) but /4 for the Yankee = (1*2)/4 = 0.5 points)
CMT25.  Mike Schmidt - Cards Your Mother Threw Out regular back (+1 point)
TOG7. Bill Mazeroski - Tales of the Game (+1 * 5 for being a Pirate = +5 points)

HOTG1. Baseball Invented 1839  (1 point)
MHR-153.  Ichiro - Hat Logo #31/99 (1 point x10 relic x2 for a player I like = +20 points)

Insert card total points = 31.75 points
Base card points = -10 points
Total points = 21.75 points

Final thoughts:
The inserts themselves almost gave Pack #6 the victory...but the base cards provided such a negative score that what is most likely the best "hit" in the box ended up wasted...

1.  34.375 points:  Jumbo Pack 1 (best cards:  Daniel McCutchen When They Were Young Insert, Ozzie Smith Turkey Red)
2.  27.25 points:  Jumbo Pack 5 (best cards:  History of the Game Pirates World Series, Cincinnati Reds team card)
3.  26.875 points:  Jumbo Pack 2 (best cards:  Pittsburgh Pirates Franchise History, Ty Cobb Peak Performer)

  1. I would be very interested in trading for that Ichiro if you decide to move it. I've got a million Reds to trade. Let me know. Thanks!

  3. I definitely like the look of the hat patch. I have a feeling that in series 2 I am going to go with a jumbo instead of hobby to see if it makes a difference on hit quality.
