The Ultimate Ginter Mini Set Bracket: Cats and Dogs Region Voting Starts Now (Region #2 of the Bracket)

Welcome to the second region of the bracket of 64!  

Today, we take a look at the 16 teams that comprise the:

As before, I'll give a brief rundown of each of the various match-ups and then solicit your votes for the winner of each match-up down at the bottom of the post.  

2012 Man's Best Friend vs. 2019 In Bloom

The Cats and Dogs Region gets its name from the 2012 Man's Best Friend set, the #4 seed overall in the bracket.  That said, there's a second dog themed set in this bracket as well as a cat themed set so if nothing else we should be able to determine once and for all which is better:  cats or dogs?  *hint*  It's dogs.

2012 People of the Bible vs. 2018 World's Hottest Peppers

The hot peppers set got a lot more love than I was expecting in the play-in round.  Of course, it went head-to-head with arguable the worst Allen & Ginter mini set ever (the single card of the Blowout Cards owner).  I expect the peppers will have a much more difficult time getting past the folks from the Bible.

2010 Lords of Olympus vs. 2013 Heavy Hangs the Head

Heavy Hangs the Head snuck past the 2014 Urban Fauna by a single vote in the play-in round.  I don't think it probably mattered all that much which set ended up winning though...I expect the Lords of Olympus to romp through this round.

2014 Little Lions vs. 2017 Magicians and Illusionists

Here's our cat themed set taking on a Magicians set that easily knocked off the 2011 Flora of the World (a nifty set in my eyes) in the play-in round.  I expect both the Little Lions and at least one of the dog themed sets to make it to the Round of 32.

2017 Constellations vs. 2018 Postage Required

The Constellations cards are kind of boring to look at under normal situations but they all glow in the dark which is actually kind of cool (and fitting).  For my money, that's better than the Postage Required stamp cards easily.  On the other hand, I know that there are a bunch of you out there that are fans of collecting stamps so this might be a closer match-up than I originally figured it'd be!

2012 Culinary Curiosities vs. 2019 Collectible Canines

Our second dog themed set of the bracket, the 2019 Collectible Canines are actually the underdog here against the #28 seed Culinary Curiosities.  This is one of those match-ups where I can honestly say that I like both sets just about equally and I'll be happy for the winner and simultaneously sad for the loser!

2019 Chugging Along vs. 2013 People on Bicycles

Trains or bicycles?  Your vote will decide whether the #12 seed Chugging Along set can fend off the upstart People on Bicycles or whether the Green Movement will surpass steam engines.

2014 World's Deadliest Predators vs. 2010 Sailors of the Seven Seas

And finally, we end with a fun match-up between deadly creatures and deadly people.  I love the design of the 2010 Sailors of the Seven Seas set myself but I like the subject matter (and the size of the checklist) better for the 2014 World's Deadliest Predators.  Once again, this is a match-up where either set moving on makes sense to me...and yet losing the other set will make me sad!
