The Ultimate Ginter Mini Set Bracket: The Round of 32 Voting Begins NOW!

We've now completed both the play-in round and the round of 64.  At this point in time, with only 32 mini sets remaining in title contention I think you'll find the voting choices to be much more difficult!  Heck, we've already lost a few great sets along the way but the proverbial rubber really hits the road now! 

We start back at the top of the bracket with our Sport Ball Region.

As before, I'll give a brief rundown of each of the various match-ups and then solicit your votes for the winner of each match-up down at the bottom of the post.  I'm also working on the Round of 64 wrap-up post (with more contest winners) and the current standings.  That should be live tomorrow (Thursday) on the blog so be sure to stop in then as well.  With that all said, let's being the Round of 32!

2008 Baseball Icons vs. 2015 Hoist the Black Flag

The Baseball Icons set has the #1 seed in the entire bracket and so far it's living up the hype.  The Baseball Icons crushed the World's Biggest by a 16-1 vote in a match-up that I thought could actually result in an upset!  The 2015 Hoist the Black Flag set is a nice enough set in its own right but given how popular the Baseball Icons seem to be I doubt the pirate themed set will prove to be much of a challenger.  

2012 Musical Masters vs. 2009 National Heroes

I admit that I was sad to see the Musical Masters vanquish the 2007 Emperors set.  That all said, I think the National Heroes set is likely to beat the musicians (and frankly, would have probably beaten the Emperors as well) so it's most likely a moot point.  There's no glory unless you win, right?!

2018 Baseball Superstitions vs. 2008 World's Deadliest Sharks

We now have our second baseball themed mini set of the bracket that made it to the round of 32 (the third baseball themed set in the bracket (Celestial Stars) was knocked out in the round of 64).  Unlike the Baseball Icons set which has what I think is a fairly easy match-up this round, I think that the Baseball Superstitions set could lose here to the '08 World's Deadliest Sharks.  Heck, my personal preference is the sharks set.  For whatever reason, I didn't find the superstitions set to be all that engaging despite the subject matter that should have been interesting to me.

2013 Famous Finds vs. 2009 World's Biggest Hoaxes

The Hoaxes knocked off the other baseball themed set in the bracket so it's clear that that particular set has a lot of love from the voters.  On the other hand, the 2013 Famous Finds begin the bracket as a #73 seed and yet has been nothing but a wrecking ball to brackets everywhere as it has knocked off set after set en route to this particular match-up.

And that does it for this region of the bracket.  Time to vote!
