Trade Stack Update & Contest Announcement! Join Now!

Here is how this works:
Every so often (i.e. whenever I feel like it), I will add a card to a "Trade Stack".  Whenever the stack becomes appealing enough to someone, that person needs to comment on the post saying they'd like to claim the stack AND tell me which card they are sending off of my want list.  That's all you have to do - trade me ONE card (or more, of course) card from my want list for the entire stack of cards that I'm offering.  Each time, it will be first come, first serve...so act quickly (unless of course you are a gambler and hope to wait it out until there are 10+ cards in the stack that you want in exchange for a single 2004 UD Vintage card that I am looking for)!

The Trade Stack:
Last update:  10/18/13

Before I get to today's addition to the trade stack, I want to invite you to join my new contest - a blogger bracket challenge!   I've already had a few people sign up but I'm hoping to get at least 16 contestants!  The contest might be the perfect catalyst to get your creative juices flowing again...I know many people have been expressing signs of discontent or burn out, here's a chance to avoid that and have some fun at the same time!  Join now.

As for the trade stack, today's addition comes from one of the many stacks of unclaimed teams from my recent group break.  In fact, I ended up losing a fairly large chunk of money on the group break because 1)  I couldn't sell all the slots and 2) one of the slots that did sell was never paid for.  This, coupled with my recent sour eBay experience, has left me feeling both jaded and poor.  If I'm ever to do another group break, I know I need to seriously rethink how it will run...I'm not trying to turn a profit on such ventures but I can't be out $60 for each break I host either (which is what happened this time).

Anyhow, enough negativity.

Today's trade stack addition is a card from one of the boxes that I broke during the group break - Fleer Maximum.  I will say this:  DO NOT buy Fleer Maximum now...almost every single card had chipping and/or corner damage and each pack was stuck together like a bunch of bricks.  You can see some of the chipping that occurred in the scan below.  Despite that though, the set itself was pretty nice - and we did do ok with the hits at least.  I decided to throw a Rockie on the trade stack for the second card because...well...because I have a big 'ol stack of Rockies from the group break and they are virtually impossible to get rid of!  After all, no one ever seems to claim Colorado in group breaks...

Remember, you can claim the stack for any one (or more) card(s) off of my want list!  Act fast, you never know when the stack will be claimed - and with it, the entire pile of cards forever gone!

2002 Fleer Maximum
189.  Jason Jennings - Rockies

2008 Upper Deck
US Jr. Team Insert:
USJR-13.  Riccio Torrez - Team USA

Want the card(s) in the stack?  Act fast - tell me which card you will send me off my want list in the comments below!  You must leave a comment on the trade stack post in order to claim the card - no more claims via email!  If no one claims this card within a reasonable amount of time (a few hours up to a few days, depending) - I'll add another card to the stack and the process will start again!
